The Marshmallow Challenge

Input by Hollie McNish: Marshmallows. Climbing. Sick. Trees. Glowing.

Just like marshmallows

Once upon a time
There were families
of marshmallows ready –
waiting in line
Keen on climbing the trees,
when their branches shone…

…But they were not alone
there were families of Spaghettis
they adored to spike marshmallows
with a stick and a deadly dose
of heat – sautéed like meat.
And eaten by insatiable men -

Ravenous, insatiable men
All trees got sick of them.
They disappeared in a glowing heat
Just like marshmallows on a stick in flames
This was the end of all human “fuck-the-earth-games”

The Marshmallow Challenge

The Marshmallow Challenge is a remarkably fun and instructive design exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity.

If tonight were the last night

Teenager’s 1987 Apocalypse Poem)

(This is so amazingly sappy and cheesy. But the first two lines kept popping into my head today. So I dug out my old high school journal and there it was. The only thing I like about it is my correct use of the subjunctive. LOL)

If tonight were the last night
I’d spend it with you
I’d hold you in my arms
While the ocean ran blue

If tonight were the last night
I’d kiss you forevermore
and I’d swear to you that night
That my love would endure

If tonight were the last night
I’d pray that it would never end
I’d sing to you and talk to you
About all the time we’d spend

If tonight were the last night
We’d hold hands in the park
and hope beyond all hope
That it would always stay dark

If tonight were the last night
We’d dream of a home together
Those are the things we’d do
If the last night would last forever

Yvonnes poem reminded me of this song:
